Elizabeth DavisPrinceton University Anthropology & Ethnography Statement: I am currently working on my second book, The Good of Knowing: War, Time, and Transparency in Cyprus, a collaborative engagement with Cypriot knowledge production about the violence of the 1960s-70s in the domains of forensic science, documentary film, and “conspiracy theory.” The book examines the different conceptions of secrecy and transparency to which these forms of knowledge are tied, and how they fit into wide-ranging efforts toward reunification and open, democratic society in Cyprus.
